Students will travel to Manila and Dumaguete City in the Philippines to understand the Filipino context, the witness of their growing churches, and participate with Filipino students in a joint course on creation care at Silliman University's Faculty of Theology.
Students and others are able to participate in a World Mission Initiative mission opportunity because they are encouraged by a classmate, professor, WMI staff, and especially because of the financial support they are promised. Thank you for strengthening this promise through your gift of support!
WMI encourages participants to "pack light" by leaving behind both items and attitudes that might hinder their witness. Your gift resources participants with what they really need both in their suitcases and also in their hearts - humility, faith, and love - as they participate in God's mission.
WMI sends participants with a strong foundation of prayer and with confidence in the promise of the Holy Spirit's presence. Your gift of support for participants' travel costs gives tangible testimony to the strong prayer support that surrounds them as well.
Participants are mobilized into God's mission in a lasting way when they form relationships, as happens through Christian partners around the globe who welcome WMI trip participants to join them in ministry. Your gift gives participants that opportunity to form lasting relationships with church leaders around the world.
Your gift encourages, equips, packs, prays for, and mobilizes participants well on their way to participating in what Jesus Christ is up to in another part of God's world! Thank you for sending participants on a life-changing, ministry-shaping World Mission Initiative trip!
